Commodities Trade Support Associate
Job Description
Join JP Morgan's Global Commodities Group, a dynamic leader in the commodities market, offering innovative solutions across energy, agriculture, and metals.
As a Trade Support Associate in the Commodities Trade Support team you will work closely with the Commodities trading and sales desks as part of the EMEA Operations group. You will provide end-to-end trade support, being a key point of contact between JPM, our vendors and clients, helping to minimize risk for the business whilst ensuring a good experience for our clients.
Job responsibilities
- Acts as key point of contact for clients, trading, sales and other functional areas within JPM
- Actions important post-trade functions on behalf of clients and the front office
- Investigates, escalates and resolves trade capture issues in a timely manner
- Operates effective controls and reconciliations
- Interacts with partners across the business including technology, front office, back office, credit, legal and business management
- Is involved in project work and supports the on-going change agenda
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong PC skills (including Excel)
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Problem solving skills
- Proven ability to meet, and maintain tight deadlines/targets
- Display a flexible approach to work, is adaptable and welcoming to change
- Takes personal responsibility for tasks and actions
- Works effectively and efficiently with a focus on detail and accuracy
- Good prioritization and time management skills
- Excellent client service skills Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Commodity experience, preferably in physical energy
