Director-Relationship Manager

Skills and Competencies
- Proven track record in direct B2B sales, ideally within the Energy sector (utilities, renewables, oil & gas, power generation, energy infrastructure, etc.)
- Deep understanding of market dynamics, regulatory environment, and business drivers in the European energy industry
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong drive, urgency, and the ability to identify and capture new business opportunities
- Consultative selling approach with experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- Robust problem-solving, analytical, and influencing skills; able to navigate matrix organizations and build consensus
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within global and regional teams
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills, with a focus on C-level engagement and strategic account development
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity for learning how AI tools can improve energy sector processes and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices
- Fluent English is required; additional European languages (e.g., French, German, Spanish, Italian) are advantageous
Education
- Degree educated (or equivalent), preferably in business, finance, economics, engineering, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow commercial relationships with Moody’s largest and most strategic energy sector customers across Europe
- Identify and qualify prospects, initiate new sales activity, and manage sales cycles to closure
- Develop and execute account strategies and business plans tailored to the energy sector, aligning Moody’s solutions with client needs and industry trends
- Act as the primary point of contact for C-level executives, positioning Moody’s as a trusted advisor on risk, sustainability, and transformation topics
- Maintain deep knowledge of energy industry trends, including energy transition, ESG, regulatory change, supply chain risk, and digital transformation
- Generate, qualify, and convert new leads through networking, prospecting, and cross-selling across Moody’s product suite
- Collaborate globally with colleagues, sales specialists, product management, and leadership to deliver value and close deals
- Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and market intelligence to management
- Significant travel within Europe is required
