PURPOSE OF ROLE
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated professional to join an established insurance broker as a Personal Lines Account Handler. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and service a portfolio of Motor and Home clients ensuring high standards of retention renewal and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to achieve organisational goals and deliver effective insurance solutions.
- Execute day-to-day account handling tasks with precision attention to detail and full compliance with company policies procedures and industry regulations (including FCA requirements).
- Identify cross-selling opportunities risks and areas for improvement to develop innovative client-focused solutions.
- Handle client queries policy placements documentation invoicing and claims coordination professionally and efficiently.
DAY-TO-DAY
- Engage in regular team meetings to discuss client progress challenges renewals and new business opportunities.
- Manage and prioritise tasks renewals and mid-term adjustments to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues insurers and clients to ensure alignment effective execution of placements and exceptional service.
- Monitor key performance indicators client outcomes and portfolio performance; report as required.
- Stay updated on commercial insurance market trends products and best practices to enhance client advice and performance.
EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in a professional insurance setting within personal lines account handling
- A track record of success in managing client portfolios and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
SKILLS
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with confidence in client and insurer interactions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities to handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in relevant insurance systems/software policy documentation and broking tools.
- Commitment to continuous learning professional development and maintaining industry qualifications (e.g. working towards or holding CII qualifications desirable).
