Senior Procurement Lead - BPO & Outsourcing

With a relatively new CPO, he is building out a group global function which will end up being a pretty decent size, with this role the next key part of the puzzle.

Senior Procurement Lead – Outsourcing & BPO | £95,000 to £100,000 | Annual shares by the business to grow and vest after a period of time | Healthcare | Pension | 6 weeks sabbatical every 4 years paid for | many other benefits | Central London – 2 days a week in the office | A global FinTech business

Focus of the role is to come in and manage their BPO and Outsourcing category, for the UK and key global regions, covering a really broad range of outsourced contracts (11 key geographies)

• Financial Crimes
• Customer Service
• Fraud prevention/settlement
• Technology outsourcing / MSP

Role and responsibilities:

• Develop and execute long-term procurement strategies that align within business objectives.
• Proactively build and maintain robust relationships with stakeholders within the organization.
• Facilitate regular cross-departmental meetings to ensure alignment between procurement strategies and business objectives.
• Lead efforts to achieve cost reductions and optimization of spend across categories. Utilize analytical and financial skills to assess total cost of ownership and budget impact of procurement decisions
• Evaluate and support selection of suppliers, utilizing robust criteria for quality, price, and reliability
• Contribute to the smooth onboarding, relationship management, and offboarding of third-party suppliers
• Identify opportunities for consolidating suppliers, renegotiating contracts, or initiating new proposals
• Develop and implement supplier performance metrics and scorecards, and lead initiatives for supplier improvement and innovation
• Mentor and develop procurement team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations while promoting integrity and transparency across all operations

Experience & Requirements:

• Proven experience in BPO & Outsourcing, specifically across Contact Centres, KYC, Financial Crime, Customer Services
• Experience in leading and developing commercial strategies within the financial services or fintech industry
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in major outsourcing services at a global scale
• Proven track record of delivering and exceeding commercial targets
• Ability to advise, manage and report risks effectively, providing practical solutions to mitigate them
• Experience with sourcing tools, market analysis and end-to-end procurement processes.
• Demonstrable ability to evaluate and summarise complex sourcing scenarios, communicating them in a clear and pragmatic way to different stakeholders and influencing with impact
