At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, 86,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Could you be the full-time Site Administrator (12-Month FTC) in Ilford we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your organisational and administrative expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You’ll work alongside supportive and detail-oriented teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the site by providing essential administrative support to the Site Core Team. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including payroll, health and welfare, and office management, while also managing tasks such as time and attendance tracking, invoice processing, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of tracking and reporting annualised hours, as well as maintaining the site’s IT asset register, but also assist with travel bookings and expense claim processing.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Managing time and attendance records and ensuring accurate payroll interface

  • Tracking and reporting annualised hours

  • Updating staff changes promptly and accurately

  • Raising invoices to customers and performing initial progress chasing for payments

  • Administering health and welfare tasks, as well as absence management interventions

  • Supporting the Site Core Team with meeting room allocations, travel bookings, and expense claim processing

  • Maintaining the Site IT Asset Register and ensuring accurate allocation of IT assets

  • Providing IT assets for staff changes and new starters

All about you:

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Experience in a similar role (not necessarily in the rail environment) would be desirable

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, with a willingness and aptitude to learn new information systems

  • Familiarity with GSI systems (desirable)

  • Strong communication skills

  • Self-motivation and the ability to prioritize and manage your own time effectively

  • A collaborative and team-oriented mindset

  • A professional attitude and excellent interpersonal skills

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career.

You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges and a long-term career free from boring daily routines
  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues
  • Contribute to innovative projects
  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning
  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)
  • Up to 52 weeks full maternity and adoption pay
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with the opportunity to buy or sell holiday
  • Option to enjoy a brand new electric or hybrid vehicle with our salary sacrifice scheme
  • A wide range of flexible benefits that you can tailor to suit your lifestyle

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
