Finance Manager

A well–established charity with UK and international operations, including subsidiaries in Israel, is seeking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager to join its team.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is an excellent opportunity for a qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support a finance team of two.
• Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple entities across the Charity Group.
• Oversee the day–to–day transactional finance function, including purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts across the Group.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and month–end reporting.
• Prepare VAT returns, payroll journals and other statutory submissions.
• Produce financial reports, analysis and commentary for the Finance Director.
• Ensure accurate accounting records are maintained using Xero.
• Support the preparation of year–end accounts and liaise with external auditors.

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant.
• Previous charity finance experience is desirable, but not essential.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting and reporting.
• Previous experience supervising or mentoring a small finance team.
• Essential experience using Xero.
• Strong Excel skills and good financial analysis capabilities.
