Product Engineer
Job Title: Product Engineer Location: near Surrey United Kingdom Duration: Permanent / Full Time Sector: Engineering Reporting to: Engineering ManagerWe are seeking an experienced Product Engineer. The role will be office-based role, you'll play a key part in the design and technical support of electrical products, particularly single-phase electrical panels, as well as provide crucial support to customers and internal teams.Key Responsibilities:Design & Documentation: Prepare schematic and general arrangement (GA) drawings for single-phase electrical panels using AutoCAD. Specify and layout all components for electrical panel designs.Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting and guidance to customers and internal teams (Field Engineers, Admin, Workshop Technicians) to resolve hardware/software issues.Testing & Inspection: Conduct functional tests and electrical inspections on custom-designed electrical panels.Root Cause Analysis: Investigate product failures and warranty issues to
determine underlying causes and suggest corrective actions.Product Development: Contribute to the creation and improvement of Product Test Procedures and generate relevant technical documentation.Required Skills & Experience:Testing and Fault ifinding. You will need to be experienced with testing and faultfinding. Autocad is highly desirable but they are flexible for candidates who are willing to learn. The client is prepared to provide training to get you up to speed with Autocad so it is an amazing opportunity to grow and develop in your career. AutoCAD Proficiency: Able to create detailed electrical designs and layouts.Electrical Expertise: Solid knowledge of single-phase electrical panels, including their components and specifications.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues.Communication Skills: Able to work effectively with customers, Field Engineers, and other internal teams, maintaining a professional and collaborative
