Knitwear Assistant Intern
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of knitwear samples and prototypes
- Produce and update technical sketches and design specifications
- Support yarn selection, swatching, and stitch development
- Assist with pattern development and garment construction
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers regarding yarns, trims, and production
- Monitor sampling progress and support quality control processes
- Maintain organisation of design materials and studio workflow
- Strong attention to detail
- Understanding of fabrics, knitwear, and garment construction
- Creative and artistic ability
- Basic sewing skills and hands-on capability
- Knowledge of CAD design is advantageous
