Food Technology teacher
Food Technology Teacher – East London – Outstanding Secondary School
An Outstanding secondary school in East London is seeking a Food Technology Teacher to join their supportive and high-achieving Design & Technology department from April to July.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Food Technology specialist who is confident teaching GCSE Food Technology and has experience delivering Hospitality and Catering. The successful candidate will be responsible for a Year 11 GCSE class, supporting students in the crucial lead-up to their final assessments.
The role is Tuesday to Friday each week, offering a great work-life balance. The school will provide all lesson planning, so the successful teacher will focus on delivering engaging lessons and completing marking.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons to GCSE students (Year 11)
Teach elements of Hospitality and Catering within the curriculum
Support students preparing for GCSE assessments
Mark student work and provide constructive feedback
Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Be a qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)
Have experience teaching Food Technology at GCSE level
Have knowledge or experience in Hospitality and Catering
Be confident working with Year 11 exam classes
Be organised, reliable and passionate about practical learning
