Nursery Housekeeper (Hiring Immediately)

We are looking for a Nursery Housekeeper to join our Shire House Nursery | Gerrards Cross

Do you take pride in keeping things clean, calm, and cared for? We’re looking for a Part-Time Housekeeper to help keep our nursery sparkling, safe, and welcoming for the little ones who play, learn, and grow with us every day.

Position: Nursery Housekeeper
Location: Shire House | Gerrards Cross
Hours: 20 hrs per week (Monday to Friday)

Hourly Rate – from £12.71 an hour

As a Nursery Housekeeper, you’ll:

• Keep playrooms, bathrooms, and shared areas clean and hygienic, ready for busy little explorers
• Handle laundry and linen changes to ensure everything is fresh, tidy, and cosy
• Support the team with daily cleaning routines, helping maintain our high standards of care
• Help us create a warm, home-from-home environment where children feel safe and nurtured
• We’re looking for someone who:
• Has a great eye for detail and a genuine pride in their work
• Can work independently but is also happy to be part of a team
• Understands (or is willing to learn) basic health & safety and hygiene procedures
• Brings a positive attitude and a caring approach to everything they do

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has a genuine love for working in an environment with children
• Can plan ahead, stay organised, and work independently
• Responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation in all areas
• Handle laundry duties, including washing, drying and correct storage of all laundry
• Ensuring effective communication with colleagues and management regarding daily cleaning schedules, supply needs and any maintenance issues
