Job Description
At Fastmarkets, we are the leading price reporting agency and information provider for global commodities — from metals and forest products to agriculture and energy. Our data powers decisions for the world’s top trading, procurement, and investment teams. As demand for reliable, real-time intelligence continues to grow, so does our inbound lead volume — and we’re looking for someone to own it.
We’re hiring a highly motivated and target-driven Inbound Sales Development Representative (SDR) to qualify, convert, and accelerate inbound leads across our core sectors. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, commercial environment, is not afraid to pick up the phone, and sees every inbound form, webinar attendee, or content download as an opportunity.
What you’ll be doing:
- Act as the first point of contact for all inbound leads via our marketing channels, website, and events.
- Rapidly respond to and qualify inbound leads using Salesforce and Outreach, ensuring timely and consistent follow-up.
- Book discovery meetings for our Account Executives by uncovering challenges, fit, and intent.
- Use Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Sales Navigator, and Outreach to research leads, personalize messaging, and optimize touchpoints.
- Route leads to the correct region, segment, or product line, ensuring no opportunity is missed.
- Work closely with marketing, sales, and RevOps to improve lead conversion and funnel velocity.
- Maintain clean and accurate CRM records and contribute to pipeline growth goals.
What success looks like:
- High activity across calls, emails, and LinkedIn – especially calls. We’re looking for someone who’s hungry to hit the phones until the job is done.
- Consistent qualification and conversion of leads into high-quality meetings.
- Strong collaboration with AEs and marketing to close the feedback loop and improve campaigns.
- Always hitting (and aiming to beat) your KPIs.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- 1–2 years of experience in an SDR or lead generation role is a plus.
- A proactive, self-starter mindset with the resilience to keep dialing.
- Passion for commodities, finance, markets, or data is a big plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized in Salesforce, and leverage tools like Outreach and Sales Navigator for productivity.
- A learner’s mindset — you’re coachable, open to feedback, and eager to grow into a closing role.
Why Fastmarkets?
We’re a globally recognised authority in the commodities space, with teams around the world and decades of trusted experience. As an SDR at Fastmarkets, you’ll be working at the forefront of industry intelligence — and setting yourself up for a clear career path into sales, marketing, or customer success.
We’re not just looking for someone to answer leads. We want a commercial athlete who’s excited by a challenge, obsessed with pipeline, and willing to go the extra mile to succeed.
