People Assistant

What You’ll Do
As our People Assistant, you’ll be a central pillar of the People team. Helping us run smoothly, maintain our high-performance culture, and support colleagues across the business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting day-to-day HR administration, including preparing and maintaining documentation
- Maintaining and updating people data and records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality at all times
- Helping administer employee benefits, such as healthcare, volunteer days and wellbeing initiatives
- Managing the onboarding process, ensuring new starters have a seamless introduction to EMJ, and supporting the offboarding process for departing employees
- Coordinating and assisting with the delivery of our internal, gold-medal-winning training programme
- Contributing to HR reporting and metrics, helping the team track key data points such as headcount, engagement, and performance
- Supporting ad hoc People initiatives- from learning and development to engagement activities and performance management cycles
- Assisting with team coordination and recruitment administration, as required

- Tech-savvy : Comfortable with basic systems, data entry, spreadsheets, and documentation.
- Experience : Previous experience in an administrative or HR support role is a bonus, but not mandatory- we value attitude and potential.
Key Information
- Salary: £30,000
- Hours: 8.30am – 5pm, Monday - Friday
- Reporting to: Head of Recruitment and Retention
- Location: London/Moorgate office
- Working pattern: Hybrid, 3 days in the office (5 days in the office during probation)
To support your training and development during your initial three-month probation, this period will be fully office-based, five days a week. Following this, we anticipate a regular office presence of at least three days a week to maintain collaboration and team connection.
