Daily Rate: £180-£240 (depending on experience)

About the Role

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their Key Stage 1 team. This position is a maternity cover role, running from September until Easter , offering the chance to make a meaningful contribution to pupils' learning and development during this crucial stage.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum, supporting pupils to achieve their potential, and maintaining a positive, stimulating classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach a Year 2 class, ensuring all pupils are challenged and supported.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.

• Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress.

• Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes learning and wellbeing.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and senior leaders.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) and experience teaching in KS1.

• Strong knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum, including SATs preparation.

• Ability to inspire, motivate, and support children of all abilities.

• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

• A flexible and professional approach to teaching.
