Planner in City of London

City of London, Greater London

Job description

Planner – London | £65,000–£75,000 + £5,750 Car Allowance | Permanent | Full-Time

Are you an experienced Planner ready to play a key role in delivering major UK infrastructure projects? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading civil engineering organisation, renowned for innovation and excellence across transportation, energy, tunnelling, and construction sectors.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Planner to join our London Paddington office on a permanent, full-time basis. You’ll support bid teams by providing expert planning, scheduling, and project performance reporting — helping to shape and secure complex, high-value projects across the UK.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop detailed and robust tender and project programmes
  • Support bid teams with planning deliverables and post-tender handovers
  • Identify and evaluate risks within programmes to ensure resilience
  • Cost and resource load programmes effectively
  • Provide planning insights to both bid and delivery teams
  • Use Primavera P6 to build, monitor, and update project schedules
  • Ensure seamless communication and knowledge transfer post-award

About You

You’ll bring a blend of technical skill, commercial acumen, and collaborative spirit, including:

  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering and construction methods
  • Understanding of procurement legislation and commercial contracts
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 and other planning tools
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • A proactive, team-focused approach and the ability to deliver to tight deadlines

What’s on Offer

  • £65,000–£75,000 salary (dependent on experience)
  • £5,750 car allowance
  • Comprehensive benefits package including pension and healthcare plan
  • Accommodation allowance if based outside a reasonable commuting distance
  • Excellent training and career development with a global leader in construction

If you’re passionate about precision, planning, and performance — and want to help deliver the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects — we’d love to hear from you.
