Management Accountant | £42,000 - £47,000 | London | Hybrid

For a well-established growing Professional Services firm with a strong reputation, we're recruiting a permanent Management Accountant. Working closely working with the Head of Finance and Senior Leadership Team, the Management Accountant will lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and support the month-end and year-end close. The Management Accountant will also oversee the AP/AR process, reconciliations, support budgeting and forecasting and will help support the implementation of stronger controls and efficiencies. Main Duties:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Posting and reviewing journals - accruals, prepayments and adjustments
  • Supporting the Head of Finance with the month-end and year-end processes
  • Oversee the AP/AR processes, ensuring accurate and timely billing and revenue collection
  • Review ledger entries, ensuring accuracy of financial data across several systems
  • Monitor expenses and cost allocations across entities
  • Support the business with decision-making by providing insightful financial analysis
  • Analyse trends, risks, and cost-saving opportunities
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting cycles
  • Challenge existing processes and identify efficiency improvements, supporting the implementation of more robust controls and workflows as the company continues to grow and expand.

Person Specification:

  • Part-qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA - or similar by experience)
  • Ideally a professional services or multi-entity company background
  • Strong experience in management accounting and financial analysis
  • Strong experience of month-end processes and reconciliation
  • Experience of producing monthly management accounts across multiple entities and cost centres
  • Strong experience of process improvements and systems changes
  • Proactive, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail, and the ability to challenge and improve processes
