About the department

At Welbeck, we believe healthcare should be personal, seamless, and centred around exceptional outcomes. Our Health Assessment & Longevity Centre is at the forefront of preventative healthcare, combining clinical expertise, advanced diagnostics, and personalised health screening to help clients optimise their long-term health and wellbeing.

As we continue to invest in and expand this growing service, we are developing our reputation as a leading provider of health assessments and longevity-focused care. This is an exciting opportunity to join a service with significant growth ambitions and play a key role in shaping its future direction.

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Health Assessment & Longevity Centre Director to lead the ongoing development and operational delivery of our expanding health screening service.

Reporting to the Centre Board, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across all aspects of the service while ensuring an exceptional client experience. You will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, developing innovative service offerings, and creating seamless pathways across our clinical centres and corporate functions.

This role offers the opportunity to influence the future of preventative healthcare at Welbeck and help establish a nationally, and ultimately internationally, recognised centre for health assessment and longevity.

As the Centre Director, you will also hold the responsibility of CQC Registered Manager, ensuring the service operates to the highest standards of quality, governance, and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with operational teams to continuously enhance and optimise the client journey.

  • Monitor operational, clinical, and financial performance, using KPIs to drive improvement and growth.

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and corporate teams to develop and commercialise health assessment services.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, stakeholders, and partners.

  • Ensure the smooth and effective management of clinical and administrative teams.

  • Oversee service quality, regulatory compliance, governance processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Act as the CQC Registered Manager, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory standards.

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and performance management for the centre.

  • Recruit, develop, and inspire high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

  • Support innovation and the introduction of new services, technologies, and patient pathways.

  • Contribute to business development activities, including networking, marketing events, referrer engagement, and commercial growth initiatives.

  • Work collaboratively across the wider Welbeck network to share best practice and deliver integrated services.

About you

We are looking for an experienced leader who thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional healthcare services.

You will bring:

  • Significant experience managing all aspects of an independent clinical centre, including operations, administration, people leadership, and commercial performance.

  • A proven track record of delivering complex, high-profile projects from concept through to implementation and operational embedding.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance strategic thinking and day-to-day business performance.

  • Experience building, leading, and developing high-performing multidisciplinary teams.

  • A customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering outstanding service and patient experience.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of an organisation.

  • Experience working within healthcare and a genuine passion for preventative health and wellbeing.

  • The ability to navigate uncertainty, embrace change, and drive progress in a fast-growing environment.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong problem-solving, planning, organisational, and decision-making capabilities.
