We are seeking an enthusiastic, versatile, and highly committed English and Media Teacher to join the successful faculty at an Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary academy in the Ealing area of Inner West London.

This is a full-time, permanent position starting in January 2026 .

The Opportunity

The successful applicant will be an inspirational and highly effective specialist, passionate about both literary texts and the critical analysis of modern media. This role focuses on outstanding classroom practice, contributing to the strong results in both subjects, and helping students develop sophisticated critical thinking skills.

To secure an exceptional candidate, this role comes with an attractive Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 per annum . This financial incentive is a purely financial reward designed to support excellent teachers and their commitment to our school community.

We Are Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) .
  • A proven track record as an excellent English Teacher (covering both Language and Literature to at least KS4).
  • The ability and experience to successfully teach Media Studies to A-Level (KS5) .
  • A genuine passion for both subjects and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
  • The drive to uphold and contribute to the academy’s Outstanding standards.

Salary and Benefits

  • Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS) for Teachers.

    • The base salary will be paid according to experience within the statutory Inner London Pay Scale (The Inner London Main Pay Range minimum is approximately £40,317 as of September 2025).
  • A fixed Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 per annum.
  • Excellent, structured professional development and career progression pathways.
