Part Time Head of Finance

Harris Hill is recruiting for a Part Time Head of Finance for this well–established Children's Charity based in North London. (Hybrid)

• Position: Permanent, Part Time (3 or 4 days a week)
• Location: North London
• Salary: GBP55.000pa – GBP65.000pa depending on experience (Pro Rata)
• Hours: (Full–Time equivalent is – 37.5 hours per week). (Part time – 3 or 4 days a week, Pro Rata)
• Hybrid working: 2 days a week is required at their offices in North London.
• Working pattern: Flexible working hours, with home and office working
• Reports to: Chief Executive
• Direct reports: 1 finance person
• Key working relationships: Senior Management Team / Treasurer / Board of Trustees
• Benefits: 30 days annual leave, plus an additional 3 days' closure between Christmas and New Year

The of Head of Finance, will provide strong financial leadership across the charity, ensuring they have the insight, controls and planning in place to enable the charity to make confident decisions.

Working closely with the Chief Executive, the Treasurer, Board of Trustees and Senior Management Team, you'll lead the finance function while helping translate financial information into clear, practical insight that supports both the day–to–day activities, and the charities longer–term ambitions.

Our client is looking for an experienced finance professional, ideally with experience in the charity or wider third sector. You may already be operating at senior level or be ready to take the next step in your career into a broader leadership role. You may also be fully qualified or working towards a professional qualification; what matters most is that you bring strong financial judgement, sound technical knowledge, a hands–on approach and the confidence to work autonomously and collaboratively across a small, ambitious organisation.

You will lead and support a Senior Finance Officer, helping to strengthen finance processes, reporting and controls while building a positive, solutions–focused finance function that enables the wider charity to succeed.
