Rotananny

An exceptional long-term Rota Nanny / Maternity Nanny position in North London, providing 24-hour care for a newborn on a 10-day on / 10-day off rotation and travelling internationally with the family.

The role will begin with maternity-style newborn care before naturally developing into a more traditional rota nanny position as baby grows. Mum is hands-on and would like someone who will work collaboratively with her, offering knowledge, ideas and reassurance without taking over. The family are not overly structured and would particularly value someone adaptable who can respond to their preferred way of doing things rather than imposing a rigid routine. They are looking for someone warm, kind and discreet who can provide exceptional care while fitting comfortably into the rhythm of family life. This is a fully staffed household, so the successful candidate must be comfortable working as part of a wider household team. International travel will be an important part of the position, including travel over some holiday periods.

Job Specification
• Providing 24-hour care on a 10-day on / 10-day off rotation
• Full newborn care during the early months
• Supporting feeding, sleep and settling
• Establishing appropriate routines as baby develops
• Supporting Mum while respecting her involvement and preferences
• Monitoring and supporting developmental milestones
• Introducing age-appropriate play, activities and learning
• Supporting weaning when appropriate
• All nursery duties relating to baby
• Working collaboratively within a fully staffed household
• International travel with the family
• Providing continuity of care as the role develops from maternity support into long-term nanny care

Candidate Specification
• Extensive professional newborn and baby experience
• Strong background as both a Maternity Nurse/Maternity Nanny and professional Nanny highly desirable
• Previous rota experience strongly preferred
• Excellent knowledge of newborn care, feeding, sleep and development
• Warm, kind and nurturing
• Discreet and highly professional
• Comfortable working alongside a hands-on mother
• Experienced working within a fully staffed private household
• Happy and experienced travelling internationally
• Looking for a long-term position and able to offer stability and continuity
