Mobile Vehicle Technician – Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) Division

Join a leading motoring services organisation as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in the fast‑growing Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division. You’ll deliver planned repairs and servicing directly to members at their homes or workplaces – no emergency call‑outs, no unpredictable shifts, just a structured schedule and the tools you need to succeed.

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine servicing and comprehensive diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Carry out in‑depth repairs normally completed in a workshop, adhering to industry standards.
• Provide clear advice and recommendations to members based on your inspections.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks in line with the organisation’s guidelines.
• Manage a digital, pre‑booked job list each day, ensuring punctual arrivals and professional interaction with members.

What We’re Looking For

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication – you’ll be the face of the organisation, speaking directly with members.

Working Conditions

• Full‑time, 40 hours per week (core hours 8:30 am – 5:00 pm) with one Saturday shift every four weeks.
• Guaranteed overtime option after the first month (£30 per hour) – choose extra days to boost earnings.
• All necessary equipment provided: fully equipped van, fuel card, uniform, complete tool set and advanced diagnostics.
• No emergency call‑outs; you work from a scheduled list of appointments.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive base salary of £45,378 (inclusive of London weighting where applicable).
• On‑target earnings up to £57,000 through bonuses and premium‑rate overtime.
