Maths SEND Specialist Teaching Assistant – East London

TeacherActive are currently recruiting for a Maths SEND Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming 2-form entry primary school in East London .

The school is looking for a confident, experienced TA who can support pupils with SEND needs while helping them develop their Maths skills and confidence .

The Role:

• Maths-focused support across KS1/KS2
• Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs
• 1:1 and small-group interventions
• Helping pupils access the Maths curriculum
• Supporting behaviour, engagement and confidence
• Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience supporting Maths in a primary setting
• Strong understanding of SEND
• Experience working 1:1 and in small groups
• Confident managing challenging behaviour
• Patient, supportive and adaptable
• Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one

School: 2-form entry primary school

Start: ASAP
Contract: Full-time / long-term
