The Role
The school is seeking a scholarly, imaginative, and dedicated History Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across KS3–KS5 . History is a cornerstone of the school’s academic identity, attracting students who are eager to explore the complexities of power, conflict, and social change.
You will have the opportunity to teach a broad and diverse curriculum, from Medieval and Tudor history to modern global conflicts and political revolutions. Person Specification
Qualified History Teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a strong degree in History or a related field
Proven experience teaching History at GCSE and A-Level (experience with IB is also desirable)
Outstanding subject knowledge and a genuine passion for historical research
Ability to inspire, challenge, and engage students with complex causal relationships and evidence
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Commitment to contributing to the wider school community, including History societies, debating, and heritage trips
