The Role

The school is seeking a scholarly, imaginative, and dedicated History Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across KS3–KS5 . History is a cornerstone of the school’s academic identity, attracting students who are eager to explore the complexities of power, conflict, and social change.

You will have the opportunity to teach a broad and diverse curriculum, from Medieval and Tudor history to modern global conflicts and political revolutions. Person Specification

  • Qualified History Teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a strong degree in History or a related field

  • Proven experience teaching History at GCSE and A-Level (experience with IB is also desirable)

  • Outstanding subject knowledge and a genuine passion for historical research

  • Ability to inspire, challenge, and engage students with complex causal relationships and evidence

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Commitment to contributing to the wider school community, including History societies, debating, and heritage trips
