Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and interactive Science lessons to students in accordance with the national curriculum
• Assess and monitor the progress of students, providing feedback and support to facilitate their learning and development
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and individual growth
• Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement curriculum materials and assessments
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including attendance and grades
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behaviour, and concerns
• Participate in professional development activities and stay up-to-date with current educational practices and research

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
• Proven experience teaching Science in a primary or secondary school setting
• Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
• Ability to effectively manage classroom behaviour and create a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
• Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices in Science education
