Responsibilities
- Deliver effective Computer Science lessons to students, fostering a love for the subject and promoting the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Tailor lesson plans and assessments to meet the needs of individual students, ensuring a differentiated and inclusive learning environment.
- Create engaging and interactive learning experiences that utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to help students achieve their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in curriculum development activities, contributing to the ongoing improvement of the Computer Science department.
- Maintain accurate student records and attendance records, adhering to school policies and procedures.
- Attend parent-teacher meetings and communicate regularly with parents/guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Teaching qualification or certification (QTS, PGCE, etc.).
- Proven experience teaching Computer Science at the primary or secondary level.
- In-depth knowledge of the Computer Science curriculum and the ability to effectively plan and deliver engaging lessons.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines.
- A passion for education and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
