Why we're hiring:

The FP&A Manager - Planning and Cash Flow plays a critical role within the WPP Group FP&A team, supporting the planning, forecasting, and cash flow activities that underpin informed decision-making across the organisation.

Reporting to the FP&A Director - Planning and Cash Flow, this role is responsible for leading the development of financial models, forecasts, and reporting outputs, while delivering high-quality management and Board-level insights within challenging deadlines. The successful candidate will partner closely with finance teams across the Group, gathering inputs, challenging assumptions, and translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.

What you'll be doing:

Planning & Modelling

  • Coordinate Group-wide planning processes, managing timelines, responding to operating unit queries, and ensuring the successful delivery of budget and forecast cycles.
  • Support the preparation of CFO and CEO budget reviews and reforecast presentations.
  • Lead the development of long-term Group forecasts across both the P&L and cash flow, maintaining robust financial models that support strategic decision-making.
  • Deliver scenario planning and sensitivity analysis, including modelling associated with M&A activity.
  • Monitor and track key risks and opportunities, providing insights and recommendations to support management decision-making.
  • Champion best-practice planning and financial modelling techniques across the FP&A team and broader finance community.

Cash Flow

  • Prepare the Group's monthly cash flow reporting for management and Board reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity across multiple data sources.
  • Produce regular cash flow forecasts and projections, including net debt, liquidity, capital expenditure, and free cash flow analysis.
  • Partner with Tax, Treasury, and Group Reporting teams to align assumptions, understand business drivers, and explain variances.
  • Support credit rating agency reviews in collaboration with the Treasury team.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly management reports, quarterly trading updates, and Board materials, converting complex financial information into clear, insightful, and compelling narratives for senior audiences.
  • Assist in the preparation of Group financial statements for management reporting purposes.
  • Lead the preparation, monitoring, and validation of EPSP targets.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis against forecasts and budgets, identifying key drivers and recommending corrective actions where appropriate.
  • Analyse large and complex datasets, ensuring data accuracy and monitoring performance against key financial and operational KPIs.

Process Improvement

  • Continuously enhance financial models, planning frameworks, and reporting processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and business insight.
  • Drive automation, innovation, and the adoption of AI-enabled tools and technologies across reporting and planning activities.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree and a recognised professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or equivalent).
  • Significant experience within FP&A, Group Finance, or a combination of Big 4 and commercial finance environments.
  • Experience working within a large, global finance function would be advantageous.
  • Advanced financial modelling and Excel capabilities.
  • Experience with financial planning and consolidation systems such as SAP BFC, HFM, OneStream, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects, Power BI, or other reporting and visualisation tools would be beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities while building strong collaborative relationships across teams.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement, automation, and AI-driven ways of working.
