Consultant Relations, VP
We are working in partnership with a prestigious global asset manager to hire an experienced VP, Consultant Relations . This is a high-impact role within their institutional client group, focusing on building and nurturing key consultant relationships across the UK, while also contributing to broader global consultant strategy.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong industry knowledge and a passion for relationship-driven commercial delivery. You’ll work alongside a Senior Relationship Manager and collaborate closely with investment, product and distribution teams to strengthen consultant advocacy and unlock client opportunities.
The successful candidate will be involved in:
- Partnering with a Senior Relationship Manager to manage relationships with UK-based consultant firms and contribute to global coverage initiatives.
- Driving engagement by understanding consultant firm priorities, aligning solutions to client needs, and influencing research agendas.
- Building and maintain effective relationships across consultant research and field teams, ensuring high-value connectivity to investment specialists and internal stakeholders.
- Monetising buy ratings on scalable products by capitalising on consultant advocacy and shared client relationships.
- Acting as a trusted point of contact for consultant queries, facilitating solutions with product, investment and operational colleagues.
- Supporting the development and execution of strategy for key consultant accounts, in line with business goals.
- Delivering market and product insights, positioning thought leadership on investment themes and strategic initiatives.
- Coordinating across internal teams to ensure consistent, high-impact consultant engagement that translates into commercial results.
- Gathering intelligence and insights from consultant firms to inform product development and broader distribution strategy.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a consultant relations, institutional sales, investment or client-facing role.
- Deep understanding of the institutional landscape, particularly UK DB and DC pensions, with broader exposure to wealth management, digital banks and the European market a plus.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and a strong ability to build long-term, trusted relationships with consultants and internal teams.
- Clear commercial acumen and a results-oriented approach to identifying and capitalising on opportunities.
- Strong organisational and project management capabilities, able to prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Collaborative and proactive mindset with a strong team ethic.
- Solid technical understanding across asset classes and investment strategies.
