Pastoral Manager – Secondary School Location: Tower Hamlets, London Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) A forward-thinking secondary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking an experienced Pastoral Manager to lead and coordinate the welfare, behaviour, and personal development of its students. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a real impact on students’ wellbeing and engagement. The Role As Pastoral Manager, you will: Lead the pastoral team and provide support for students’ social, emotional, and behavioural needs Monitor attendance, behaviour, and wellbeing, and implement interventions where needed Work closely with teachers, SENCo, parents, and external agencies Support vulnerable students, including those with SEND or SEMH needs Promote a positive school culture and improve student engagement The School Offers A vibrant, inclusive secondary school community Strong leadership and a clear focus on student wellbeing and safeguarding Professional development and training opportunities A collaborative environment with committed staff The Ideal Candidate You will: Have experience in a pastoral, safeguarding, or student support role within a secondary school Be confident managing challenging behaviour and complex needs Demonstrate strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills Be passionate about supporting students’ academic and personal development Benefits to YOU:
