FP&A Manager - Projects & Cost Base

About the role:
We’re looking for a FP&A Manager – Projects & Cost Base to join Civica’s FP&A team, supporting how we understand and manage key cost drivers across our global operations. In this role, you’ll take the lead on designing and maintaining detailed cost base models and reporting tools that help guide decisions across our Services, HR, and Transformation teams.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys translating data into meaningful business insights and working with others to understand what drives performance. In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Build and maintain a cost base forecasting model that tracks and projects key drivers such as utilisation, supply and demand, staff movement, and grade/location mix
- Develop cost centre reports for senior stakeholders across divisions and group functions
- Collaborate and help lead the Services team to understand and incorporate assumptions around headcount, utilisation, and capacity.
- Deliver weekly operational reporting to highlight spare capacity and opportunities to optimise cost
- Support transformation projects by modelling their financial impacts and outcomes
- Use data to align and forecast cost for workforce planning and other initiatives
- Maintain and improve templates and dashboards for periodic board and stakeholder reporting
- Help define and implement cost allocation methodologies where needed
Requirements
- Experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally within a SaaS or technology environment, with strong modelling and Excel skills
- Ability to identify and explain cost drivers clearly, and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders across finance and operations
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and making complex data easy to understand
- Proficient in using financial systems and tools such as Salesforce and Workday Adaptive, or similar platforms
- Confident working independently and managing competing deadlines, while supporting cross-functional teams with timely insights
