Job Title: Sales Manager – South Wales (New Business & Account Management)

Location: South Wales (Field-based with occasional office visits) Reports to: Regional Sales Director Salary: Competitive + Commission + Car Allowance + Benefits including 16% pension

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our growth strategy across the South of Wales . This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who thrives on hunting new business (60%)while also nurturing and expanding existing client relationships (40%) .

You’ll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building strong pipelines, and closing deals, while ensuring our current clients receive exceptional service and continued value.

Key Responsibilities:

New Business Development (60%)

  • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across the South West region.
  • Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to exceed sales targets.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline through networking, cold outreach, referrals, and events.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with marketing to support lead generation and campaign execution.

Account Management (40%)

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular account reviews to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Act as the main point of contact for key clients, resolving issues and ensuring service excellence.
  • Monitor account performance and proactively address any risks or challenges.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record in B2B sales, with a strong emphasis on new business development.
  • Experience managing accounts and building long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter with strong time management and organisational abilities.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South West.
Desirable:
  • Industry experience in [insert relevant industry, e.g., technology, manufacturing, logistics].
  • Knowledge of the South West business landscape and key regional players.
