TMT / Consumer Markets Tax Partner

The Opportunity

We are working with a leading professional services firm looking to make a senior Partner appointment within its growing TMT / Consumer Markets practice .

The firm has an established position across Technology and Telecoms and is looking to strengthen its senior leadership as part of a broader investment and growth strategy. While candidates from across TMT and Consumer Markets will be considered, Telecoms experience would be of particular interest .

This is a growth-focused appointment rather than a replacement hire. The successful individual will join an established team with significant ambitions over the next several years and will have the opportunity to play an important role in shaping the future direction of the practice.

The firm is open to considering both established Partners and individuals approaching Partnership , with scope to enter at Salaried or Equity Partner level depending on experience, market profile and business case.

The Role

The incoming Partner will be expected to combine strong client leadership with a demonstrable ability to develop new business and build a sustainable market proposition.

Responsibilities will include:

• Building and developing a portfolio of significant clients across Technology, Media, Telecoms and/or Consumer Markets .
• Originating new opportunities and developing relationships with senior decision-makers.
• Leveraging an established external network to generate sustainable revenue growth.
• Acting as a trusted adviser to boards, senior executives and other key stakeholders.
• Working collaboratively with Partners across the wider business to identify and develop cross-service opportunities.
• Enhancing the firm's profile and reputation within the market.
• Contributing to the strategic direction and growth of the sector practice.
• Supporting the recruitment, development and progression of high-quality talent as the team expands.
• Playing an active role in the wider leadership and culture of the firm.

Candidate Profile

We are interested in speaking with individuals who have a strong track record within TMT, Consumer Markets or a closely related sector .

The successful candidate is likely to demonstrate:

• Strong sector credentials and a well-developed understanding of the TMT and/or Consumer Markets landscape.
• Ideally, meaningful experience within Telecoms , although this is not essential for an exceptional candidate.
• An established network of senior client relationships and clear evidence of business development capability.
• A track record of originating, developing and converting significant opportunities.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to articulate a credible growth plan.
• Credibility with boards, CFOs and senior management teams.
• A collaborative style and appetite to work across practices and service lines.
• The leadership capability to develop teams and contribute to the wider growth of the business.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to build within an ambitious, well-invested platform.
