Mechanical Estimator

Hybrid Mechanical Estimator required. We are currenlty looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator for a established mechanical and electrical contractor in London.

This is an exellent opportunities to work on a range of commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects across London. The successful Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for managing tenders from initial enquiry through to final submission, producing accurate and commercially competitive estimates for mechanical building-services packages.

The role will cover projects including high-quality office fit-outs, retail and commercial refurbishments. Mechanical packages will typically include HVAC, ventilation, air conditioning, pipe work and plumbing.

Key responsibilities:

* Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation

* Producing detailed mechanical estimates and cost plans

* Completing accurate material and labour take-offs

* Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations

* Preparing tender submissions and pricing schedules

* Identifying value-engineering opportunities

* Attending tender interviews, site visits and client meetings

* Liaising with project managers, directors and commercial teams

* Managing multiple tenders and meeting submission deadlines

* Supporting projects through pre-construction and handover

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Mechanical Estimator within the commercial fit-out, refurbishment or mechanical building-services sector. You should be confident pricing mechanical packages independently and have a strong understanding of current labour, plant and material costs.

Requirements:

* Previous mechanical estimating experience

* Good supplier and subcontractor relationships

* Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

* Excellent communication and organisational skills
