Salary: c£70,000, depending on experience and qualifications

Are you a talented accountant with a flair for strategic modelling and insightful analysis? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment where your work directly shapes long-term business planning?

This high-profile role sits at the heart of Hyde’s financial strategy – leading our long-term financial planning process, maintaining the Group’s financial model, and supporting major regulatory and strategic submissions. It’s a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leaders around the group and influence key decisions across the Group.

Why Hyde?
The Hyde Group owns and manages around 120,000 homes, making us one of the largest and most diverse housing and community services providers in the country. We provide neighbourhood services to 350,000 homes, proudly support the Armed Forces community, and work with key public and private partners, including schools, hospitals, and local authorities. We also develop new affordable homes and have one of the largest direct repair workforces in the sector.

With a 30-year financial plan and £10bn in assets, we’re financially robust and regulated by the Regulator for Social Housing. Our vision is to create lasting communities where people thrive.

A Career with Purpose and Progression

At Hyde, your growth matters. In this role, you’ll work for the Financial Strategy Manager, working closely with both Treasury and Finance colleagues, as well as building relationships with department heads around the group. This is a great platform for professional development and to continue building your career in an interesting and complex group with a great social purpose.

Your Role as Senior Financial Analyst
This is a strategic and technical finance role, focused on leading Hyde’s annual and long-term financial planning cycles. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and divisional leaders, using your financial analysis and modelling skills to assess risks, test scenarios, and align assumptions with our overall strategic direction.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Group’s annual financial planning cycle, mid-year update and Board reporting on the Groups long term financial plan.
  • Managing and maintaining the 30-year Group financial planning model (Brixx), ensuring accuracy, reconciliation and usability.
  • Designing and modelling a robust base case and stress-tested financial scenarios aligned with Hyde’s strategic aims.
  • Collaborating with teams across the group including Development, Treasury, Investment, Operations and Finance, to ensure modelling assumptions are fully aligned, understood and clearly presented
  • Supporting the preparation of key submissions to the Regulator of Social Housing and credit rating agencies.
  • Working with other finance colleagues, providing analysis and insight in performance benchmarking and other sector peer performance.
  • Producing insightful reports and recommendations for the Executive and Board.
  • Managing a Finance Analyst, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a confident, forward-thinking accountant who combines strategic insight with technical excellence and great people skills. You’ll need to be a natural and confident collaborator who can navigate complexity, challenge assumptions, and communicate clearly with both financial and non-financial colleagues.

Essential:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with at least 2 years post-qualified experience.
  • Great communication skills and a good relationship builder
  • Excellent business finance modelling skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured, problem-solving mindset.
  • Experience in long-term financial planning and modelling.
  • Previous staff management or mentoring experience.
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills; confident in presenting financial insights.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the housing, real estate, or not-for-profit sectors.
  • Experience with Brixx consolidation software or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with regulatory submissions and rating agency engagement.
  • Experience working within a specialist finance function or FP&A team.
  • Awareness of financial risks and compliance frameworks in a regulated environment.

The Benefits of Joining Hyde

  • Competitive salary and excellent pension scheme
  • Life assurance and generous holiday allowance
  • Award-winning flexible benefits
  • 2 Volunteering days to support causes you care about
  • Clear career pathways in a forward-thinking, diverse finance team
