Principal Software Engineer

This is a market leader in technology for good - a company changing the game both medically and technically, and who are on the lookout for leaders within their development squads. The company has expanded heavily in the last 12 months with individual contributors, and is now looking to expand their leadership function as the last part of their scaling – hands on technically engineers who have made the jump to architecture, strategy, and defining road-mapping. Not only will you be responsible for a product squad, driving the team’s best practices and providing high-level software architecture, but also being the voice of technical challenge, keeping technical debt low, and liaising with other Principals to align delivery and assurance. Technically you will have focused on Python, leading software teams and deploying straight to AWS. You’ll be able to handle both business and technical stakeholders, and have a strong knowledge of DevOps culture, testing frameworks, and planning technical roadmaps. With the company having just moved into a brand-new London office to facilitate their scaling, the environment you’ll be prospectively working in is second to none, offering generous pension contributions, holiday, and personal training budgets.
