Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons in Physics to students in accordance with the national curriculum
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and achievement
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration
  • Support the overall welfare and well-being of students, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in the field of Physics education and implement best practices in teaching

Requirements

  • A degree in Physics or a related field with a teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching Physics at the secondary level, with a track record of student achievement
  • Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students
  • A passion for Physics and a commitment to creating a stimulating learning environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • A positive and professional attitude, with a growth mindset and a willingness to continuously improve as an educator
