Chief Accountant / Head Accountant

A dynamic fintech company creating custom payment solutions for businesses. The company operates as a PSP, providing a modern, scalable platform that supports a wide range of payment methods.
Role Overview
As a Chief Accountant , you will build and scale the finance function from scratch. This is a pivotal role. You will be responsible for creating structured financial frameworks, driving transparency, and supporting the company’s high-growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of managerial and operational accounting for the PSP / fintech business.
- Design and implement a structured financial system and internal processes from the ground up.
- Drive automation across accounting: for example, in payouts, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Develop transparent financial reporting, risk-based financial models, and clear unit economics.
- Collaborate closely with CFO, Treasury, and Analytics teams to align finance operations with broader business objectives.
- Ensure financial compliance and accuracy across all products, payment flows, and business lines.
- Build dashboards and analytics to provide financial insights and KPIs for management.
- Support internal and external audits, and continuously improve financial control processes.
Requirements
- Significant experience in fintech, PSP, acquiring, or processing business.
- In-depth understanding of payment flows, settlement, reconciliation, and financial risk.
- Proven track record in setting up accounting processes from scratch.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with automation tools (e.g., financial software, RPA, or BI tools).

- Excellent attention to detail, with a strong sense of financial accuracy.
- Clear, transparent communication skills; able to explain financial concepts to technical and non-financial stakeholders.
