Web Content Assistant
The Web Content Assistant will support the Web Content team in maintaining and updating content across the City St George’s websites.
Duties and responsibilities
This will include:
• Actioning basic web content updates using the University’s content management system (Squiz Matrix)
• Checking webpages for accuracy, broken links, and formatting issues
• Assisting with content audits and larger update cycles (e.g. course information, fees, and staff profiles)
• Supporting web content officers with project work and stakeholder requests
• Filing and tracking requests in the shared team inbox
• Liaising with colleagues to ensure web content is accurate, up to date, and presented clearly
The requires excellent attention to detail, strong written English, and confidence working with digital tools and web-based systems.
Skills and experience
• Strong written English and attention to detail
• Confidence using web-based systems or digital tools (training on Squiz Matrix CMS will be provided)
• Ability to follow written guidance and established processes accurately
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple small tasks simultaneously
• A methodical approach to work and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and stakeholders
• Previous experience working on websites or digital content
• The postholder must have strong written English and good digital literacy, with the ability to use web-based systems accurately and confidently.Full training on the University’s content management system (Squiz Matrix) will be provided.
