If you are a highly experienced Senior Investment Accounting Specialist with a background in Single Family Office or UHNW investment accounting, please apply, we would be happy to schedule a call and discuss your background and suitability for the role.
• As we expand our offering for family offices and their service community, this role will help shape the data, reporting, and compliance capabilities of our technology platform and products.
• You will apply your first-hand knowledge of family office operations to guide how we structure, analyse, and present investment and accounting data for our clients for various use cases including inputs into statutory reporting, tax reporting and internal investment accounting.
• You will work closely with product teams, engineers, and clients to design services and in-client implementations, and to ensure that our platform accurately reflects the real-world needs of sophisticated investment accounting and reporting environments.
• Investment Accounting Insight & Oversight
- Apply deep understanding of investment accounting for complex portfolios (including public/private equity, real estate, alternatives, fund structures) to inform our platform and client work/service.
- Review and interpret data to drive modelling and certification of Cornspring capabilities and tooling to support a wide array of insights.
- Advise on general ledger mapping and financial statement production specific to family office structures.
• Client Data Review & Standardization
- Assist in reviewing client investment data from custodians, fund managers, and accounting systems.
- Support the normalization and enrichment of multi-asset investment data for reporting, compliance, and AI-powered queries.
• Platform & Reporting Development
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop financial reporting models reflecting family office standards (e.g., performance, consolidated NAV, P&L by entity).
- Provide domain expertise on how family offices expect to view data across trusts, holding companies, and pooled vehicles.
• Family Office Advisory Support
- Participate in client onboarding and scoping discussions, providing insight into best practices for achieving maximum data intelligence from investment operations and accounting data.
- Support product and client success teams in interpreting accounting and investment workflows across diverse geographies and tax jurisdictions.
Requirements
- This is a strategic role for a finance professional who understands the complexity and nuance of multi-asset investment accounting in a family office environment and is ready to apply that expertise to help build tools, systems, and services for family offices and their authorised partners.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in an investment accounting role within a single family office, private investment firm, or UHNW wealth structure - ideally having worked in several family offices.
- Deep knowledge of the accounting of financial instruments: equities, bonds, private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, real assets, and structured products.
- Familiarity with multi-entity, multi-currency structures, consolidations, and tax/reporting implications.
- Experience liaising with external asset managers, auditors, tax advisors, and legal teams.
- Excellent proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Python, or SQL is a plus.
- Professional designation (ACCA, ACA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent) preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex accounting into actionable product and reporting requirements.
