Engineering Leader - Transformation and Operational Excellence

We’re seeking an exceptional Engineering Leader to help shape the future engineering model within a complex industrial organization. Operating within a senior leadership team, this broad and influential role spans engineering strategy, infrastructure, reliability, asset performance, continuous improvement, and capital investment. You will lead central engineering activities while fostering greater integration and coordination across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the engineering strategy to support organizational goals and improve operational performance.
• Lead central engineering and continuous improvement activities to drive consistency, reliability, and functional excellence.
• Oversee infrastructure stewardship and asset performance to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets to ensure effective resource allocation and project delivery.
• Foster collaboration and coordination across matrix organizations and multiple stakeholder groups.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance safety.
• Shape capital investment decisions to ensure alignment with strategic priorities and engineering standards.
• Identify and mitigate engineering risks to safeguard assets and operations.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience within complex, asset-intensive environments such as heavy industrial manufacturing, utilities, infrastructure, building materials, chemicals, energy-intensive manufacturing, or large-scale operational asset management.
• Chartered or professionally qualified engineering credentials.
• Strong electrical and/or multi-disciplinary engineering expertise.
• Experience leading engineering within operational environments with multiple sites.
• Demonstrated track record improving reliability, asset performance, and engineering standards.
• Experience operating across matrix organizations and engaging diverse stakeholder groups.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders and build consensus.
