Year 2 Teacher - Sutton
A friendly Sutton primary seeks an enthusiastic and skilled Year 2 Teacher to join KS1 on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. The successful Year 2 Teacher will be involved in planning before January 2026, will attend induction in January 2026, and will teach from January 2026 as the Year 2 Teacher. This Full-Time Year 2 Teacher post suits someone committed to strong early reading, confident maths teaching and collaborative practice.

• Year 2 Teacher to join a Good Sutton primary - planning and induction commence January 2026.
• This Year 2 Teacher will receive mentor support and ongoing CPD from January 2026.
Year 2 Teacher Responsibilities
• The Year 2 Teacher will deliver effective systematic phonics and guided reading as the Year 2 Teacher.
• The Year 2 Teacher will plan sequenced writing units and practical mathematics sessions as the Year 2 Teacher.
• The Year 2 Teacher will lead small-group interventions, liaise with families and support transition planning as the Year 2 Teacher. The Year 2 Teacher will prepare resources prior to January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as the Year 2 Teacher.
Year 2 Teacher Requirements
We are seeking a Year 2 Teacher with QTS (or equivalent), secure KS1 experience and strong behaviour strategies. The Year 2 Teacher must be available for pre-term planning prior to January 2026, for induction in January 2026, and to start teaching from January 2026 as the Year 2 Teacher.
