Senior Distribution Account Manager

Join MPS as a Senior Distribution Account Manager and oversee the daily operations of the Distribution Account Management team, managing end‑to‑end theatrical content delivery for studios, distributors, and exhibitors across the UK, Ireland, and international territories.
You will work closely with internal teams and third‑party partners, and support release planning, troubleshooting, capacity forecasting, and workflow optimisation.
What You’ll Do:
The Senior Distribution Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Distribution Account Management team, including the management and servicing of various API, self-generated, and MPS booking clients. The role ensures that all requests for DCPs (both features and trailers) are created, managed, and delivered to cinemas and venues worldwide within required deadlines.
Purpose
Lead day‑to‑day distribution operations, ensuring projects, orders, and resources are planned, prioritised, and delivered efficiently.
Act as a senior point of contact for clients, managing expectations, providing updates, resolving issues, and maintaining strong relationships.
Oversee and support the distribution team through training, guidance, workflow management, and escalation handling.
Coordinate cross‑department collaboration with internal teams and third‑party partners to ensure accurate order processing, billing, and timely physical and electronic deliveries.
Manage demand planning, capacity forecasting, and courier logistics to maintain smooth operational flow and cost‑effective distribution methods.
Contribute to continuous improvement by evaluating processes, supporting strategic goals, and helping develop the wider distribution function.

Qualifications/Experience
Previous experience of leading a team at a team lead or manager level (3 years)
Experience with workflows and escalation processes
Strong customer service experience
Experience working on multiple projects with deadlines
Experience in working in a fast-paced environment with ever changing demand
Experience within the film industry or similar
Experience in upselling or promoting services
