The role

We’re looking for a Junior Learning Designer to join our Education department as part of our Science team.

As a Junior Learning Designer, you’ll bring the natural world to life for learners through clear, engaging content that makes scientific ideas stick. This role focuses on crafting materials for GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics, supporting students to understand, apply and enjoy science. It’s a chance to ignite curiosity and support learners in achieving their goals.

What you will do

• Work alongside experienced science educators to create high-quality learning and assessment content across all GCSE science disciplines.
  
• Write clear explanations, practice questions and revision materials that help students grasp complex concepts and develop scientific thinking.
  
• Review content written by others to ensure scientific accuracy, clarity and alignment with our internal guidelines.
  
• Learn to use digital authoring tools to create interactive and effective science learning experiences.

Who you are

• Strong understanding of GCSE science (triple or combined), and confident writing across biology, chemistry and physics topics.
  
• Clear, concise writer with a knack for making difficult content understandable and exciting.
  
• Detail-focused and thoughtful, with a careful eye for scientific accuracy and student engagement.
  
• A collaborative team player who values feedback and believes in shared success.
• Passionate about science education, with a desire to help all students feel confident and curious about the world around them.

Experience that will set you apart

• Experience tutoring, teaching or creating science resources for students aged 11-16.
  
• A background in science communication, outreach or creating engaging explanations for young learners.
• Familiarity with exam board specifications and what students need to thrive in GCSE science.
