Mobile Mechanic – Service, Maintenance & Repair

What You’ll Do

• Perform on‑site servicing, diagnostics and repairs on a variety of light vehicles.
• Provide friendly, professional advice to customers at their location, representing the organisation with pride.
• Manage your own stock of parts and tools, complete daily reporting and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate clearly with customers, ensuring a first‑class experience from start to finish.
• Utilise the provided diagnostic kit and fully equipped van to deliver efficient, high‑quality work.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualification: Level 2 light‑vehicle maintenance certification (or equivalent).
• Experience: Minimum 3 years hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
• Licence: Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to think on your feet, adapt to varied tasks and manage time independently.

Working Conditions

• Full‑time, 40 hours per week – core hours 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
• One in four Saturdays required; Monday–Saturday availability 8:00 am – 8:00 pm.
• Provided: branded van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools and diagnostic kit.
• Option to opt‑in to guaranteed overtime after the first month (£30 per hour).
• Location: mobile – you’ll travel to customers across the service area.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: £38,625 per annum.
• On‑target earnings: up to £55,000 (including applicable London weighting).
• Guaranteed overtime option: increase base to £44,385 plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
• Overtime flexibility: work extra rest days at £30 hour⁻¹ – one extra day per month can add ~£3,000 annually.
