About Us
Welcome to the Harry Potter Shop at King’s Cross – a magical retail experience in the heart of London. We’re proud to be the official destination for Wizarding World merchandise, offering fans a chance to step into the story and take home a piece of the magic.
Our shop may be small in size, but it plays a big role in creating unforgettable moments for visitors from all over the world. We’re part of a global family that includes Warner Bros Studio Tours and flagship stores in New York and Chicago. What makes us special? Our deep love for the Harry Potter universe and our commitment to making every visit feel extraordinary.
What You’ll Be Doing
We’re looking for someone who’s excited to create memorable experiences for every visitor. You don’t need to have worked in retail before – if you enjoy connecting with people, love storytelling, and are ready to learn, we’d love to hear from you.
Here’s what your day might include:
Creating Magical Moments
· Welcoming customers warmly and helping them find the perfect gift or souvenir.
· Listening closely to understand what each visitor is looking for.
· Working together with your teammates to make the shop feel friendly, fun, and efficient.
Learning & Growing
· Building your knowledge of our products and the Harry Potter story.
· Keeping shelves stocked and displays looking great.
· Trying out new tools and ways of working that help us serve customers better.
Bringing the Story to Life
· Hosting our photo opportunity with energy and enthusiasm.
· Sharing the magic behind our products and helping customers connect with the story.
· Turning everyday interactions into memorable moments through storytelling.
Welcoming Everyone
· Making sure every customer feels seen, heard, and valued.
· Adapting your approach to meet different needs – whether that’s accessibility, language, or cultural preferences.
· Creating a space where everyone feels comfortable and included.
Owning Your Impact
· Following health, safety, and security guidelines to keep everyone safe.
· Taking pride in your work and being open to feedback.
· Being flexible with your schedule and tasks to support the team.
What You Bring
We’re open to a range of backgrounds and experiences. If you’re enthusiastic, curious, and ready to learn, you’re already off to a great start.
You might have:
· Experience working with people (in retail, hospitality, volunteering, or school projects).
· Confidence in talking to others and making them feel welcome.
· A proactive attitude – you notice what needs doing and jump in.
· A passion for Harry Potter and a desire to share that with others.
If you’re not sure you meet every point, please still consider applying. We value potential and transferable skills just as much as direct experience.
