Full Stack Engineer: AI Developer

You’re a curious and capable software engineer who loves building new things from the ground up. You’ve either built a product before or played a key role in shipping software that solves real problems. You know how to work across front-end and back-end, or you lean strongly into one and collaborate brilliantly on the other.

You understand product thinking, communicate clearly, and you’re happiest working in a fast-moving environment where ideas quickly turn into prototypes and MVPs.

You’re reliable, open, and easy to work with.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

You’ll help shape a revolutionary AI-powered product for the branding and design industry, from proof of concept through to MVP and beyond. You’ll get to work in a greenfield codebase – no legacy to untangle – and have real influence over technical decisions, architecture and process. This is your chance to join early, move fast and be part of building something that’s never been done before.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Product build & technical delivery You build reliable, scalable systems that turn product vision into technical reality. You write clean, maintainable code across front and back end, prioritising speed to MVP while setting strong foundations for future phases.

Infrastructure & dev ops You set up environments that support smooth deployment, testing and monitoring. You manage containers, cloud infrastructure and queues with care, spotting issues early and solving them pragmatically.

Front-end implementation & UX alignment You translate UI designs into front-end code that’s intuitive, responsive and maintainable. Whether using Angular or adapting from React or Vue, you collaborate closely to bring user experience to life.

Back-end development & data handling You develop back-end systems with logic, security and efficiency in mind. You manage APIs, data layers and performance bottlenecks, always balancing scope with need-to-have functionality.

Team leadership & mentoring You lead by example – contributing clean code, raising good PRs, and sharing ideas with care. You support others without ego, help unblock problems and create an environment where the team can thrive together.

Commercial acumen You understand what it means to build MVPs with momentum.
You make smart trade-offs, flag technical debt, and contribute to decisions that keep
the product viable, fundable, and future-proof.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS WE’RE LOOKING FOR

This is a wishlist, not a checklist. If you bring most of these, we’d love to talk.

Back-end

• Strong Python experience
• Node.js experience is a bonus
• Relational database experience (PostgreSQL)
• Strong understanding of containers and container deployment and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Understanding of queuing systems (e.g. RabbitMQ or similar)
• Git fluency (beyond just push and pull — you know how to fix and finesse)
• Cloud deployment experience (DigitalOcean, AWS, GCP)
• Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
• DevOps & tooling (GitHub workflows and CI/CD pipelines)
• Monitoring tools: Grafana, Prometheus or Loki

Front-end

• Angular experience ideal; React or Vue also welcome with willingness to learn Angular
• Good understanding of component-based UI architecture
• Bonus: UI design sensitivity or experience working closely with designers

Mindset

• Startup mentality: collaborative, proactive, unflappable
• Product sensibility: you care what you’re building and why
• Bonus: experience working in SaaS environments or with early-stage product teams

LOCATION & FLEXIBILITY

• Role is ideally based in Royal Tunbridge Wells but could also be based in London
• Full-time (40 hours per week), with 3 days per week in the office
• This could be a contract (6-12 months) to full-time
