Subscriptions Marketing Executive
The Stage Media Company is dedicated to providing up-to-date news, events and services for the UK’s performing arts and book publishing industries. Its two titles, The Stage and The Bookseller , are established leaders within their respective fields, offering industry news, authoritative reviews and insightful features.
We are seeking a Subscriptions Marketing Executive to support and deliver marketing activity for The Stage and The Bookseller , to drive subscriber acquisition, engagement, and retention.
Why this role is important
You’ll be joining a dynamic and ambitious team, where you will act as the in-house specialist for subscription campaigns. This role focuses on subscription growth and customer loyalty, working closely with the Senior Marketing Executives, Brand Marketing Manager and wider team to ensure aligned but distinct marketing activity.
What you will do
- Support subscription growth through targeted marketing campaigns designed to acquire and retain subscribers.
- Lead on focused subscription campaigns, working in partnership with the Senior Marketing Executives and Brand Marketing Manager to ensure subscription campaigns align with wider activity.
- Manage group subscriber activity and liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth service and engagement.
- Deliver campaigns that drive event-related subscription sales and renewals.
- Coordinate subscription-focused newsletters, print ads, and digital touchpoints.
- Plan and deliver trial campaigns designed to convert prospects into paying subscribers.
- Produce weekly and monthly reports on subscription performance, identifying key trends and opportunities.
- Brief design elements for subscription campaigns, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and wider campaign assets.
- Manage reciprocal advertising partnerships that support subscriptions.
- Oversee subscription-focused website content to ensure it is engaging, accurate, and optimised for conversions.
What we're looking for:
- Experience in subscriptions marketing, preferably within publishing or media.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns.
- Confidence in data handling and reporting to track and evaluate performance.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Creative thinker, with the ability to brief designers and contribute campaign ideas.
- Proactive and shows initiative to complete on actions.
- Clear communicator, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Commitment to personal development.
Other information:
Normal working hours are 9am - 5pm, with occasional evening or weekend work to cover events. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring at least three days a week at The Stage Media Co’s office on Bermondsey Street, SE1, with opportunities for remote work on the other days.
