Employer Partnerships Executive - Walthamstow
Employer Partnerships Executive
Build your commercial career. Turn conversations into opportunities.
If you are confident talking to people, commercially minded and motivated by winning business, this could be your opportunity to build a career in employer partnerships.
You do not need previous employability experience or an existing employer network. You might already work in sales or recruitment, or you could be earlier in your career and looking for the opportunity to prove what you can do.
You will learn how to approach employers, speak with decision-makers, understand recruitment needs, build a pipeline and turn relationships into vacancies and sustainable jobs for Get Set UK participants. This is a genuine target-driven role, with a sales bonus of up to 800 per quarter based on job starts and outcomes.
Before you apply: the essentials
To be considered, your CV and application must clearly demonstrate:
Evidence that you can confidently approach, engage and influence people, including people you do not already know.
Evidence of building relationships and turning conversations into action, opportunities or measurable results. This could come from sales, recruitment, customer service, hospitality, retail, fundraising, account management, university activities or another people-facing environment.
Confidence communicating professionally by phone, online and face to face.
Evidence of commitment, reliability and consistently delivering high standards of work.
Evidence of delivering outcomes, targets, tasks, projects or agreed objectives.
Ability to present your recent employment history clearly, including explaining gaps or short-term roles during the previous five years.
Confident working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to learn and adapt to CRM and other digital systems.
We are interested in potential as well as experience . If you are early in your career, we do not expect you to have years of B2B sales experience. We do expect evidence that you are confident, organised, persistent, commercially curious and prepared to learn.
Useful, but not essential
Previous sales, recruitment, business development or account management experience.
Experience in employability, skills or employment support.
Experience using a CRM or managing a sales pipeline.
The real job
Your job is to create employer relationships that lead to genuine employment opportunities.
You will research and approach employers, start conversations with decision-makers and understand what they need when recruiting. You will learn how to develop those conversations into vacancies and build relationships employers want to continue.
This isn't just account management. You will need to create new relationships. That means picking up the phone, approaching people who do not know you, following up when they do not reply and hearing "no" without losing momentum.
You will also work with colleagues and participants to make sensible matches between vacancies and the people we support.
You will manage opportunities through a pipeline, maintain accurate CRM records and follow vacancies through to job starts and sustained employment.
What success looks like
You develop an active network of employers and a credible pipeline of opportunities.
Employers trust you because you listen, understand their needs and follow through. Your colleagues know what opportunities are available and your records are accurate and current.
Most importantly, the relationships you develop result in people starting and sustaining employment.
You will be accountable for results, and those results are recognised through a sales bonus of up to 800 per quarter based on job starts and outcomes.
The working reality
This role will suit someone who enjoys people and enjoys achieving something from the conversation.
There will be rejection. Employers will change their plans. Vacancies will disappear. People will not always return your calls. You will need to prospect consistently, stay organised and keep going when an opportunity falls through.
You will balance employer outreach, meetings, candidate conversations, follow-up, CRM administration and outcome tracking. Activity matters, but ultimately you will be measured on the opportunities and employment outcomes you help create.
If you want a role where you can learn about business, develop your commercial skills, build a professional network and become increasingly confident dealing with employers, there is plenty here to develop.
What you get
Sales bonus of up to 800 per quarter, based on job starts and outcomes.
25 days' annual leave, increasing with service.

Depending on the role, further pre-employment checks may include references, right-to-work checks, DBS checks and/or other appropriate vetting.
