English Teacher – Lead KS4 English Language and Drive Attainment in Non-Fiction Text Analysis – Hackney
An ambitious secondary school in Hackney is seeking an experienced and intellectually engaging Teacher of English with a strong focus on KS4 English Language , particularly non-fiction analysis and media texts, from January 2026.
- English Teacher required from January 2026.

You will teach English Language and Literature across KS3-KS5, with a significant leadership focus on the KS4 Language curriculum. The role includes planning lessons that systematically develop critical analysis of non-fiction, ensuring strong outcomes in all GCSE components.
Experience and Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) and a relevant degree in English or Literature.
- Proven success in achieving high grades in GCSE English Language.
- Experience in successfully mentoring students through the UCAS application process.
- Commitment to contributing to the school's academic literacy programme.
