RE Teacher – Promote Inclusive Curriculum Delivery and Foster Critical Dialogue on Faith and Society – Havering
A supportive and ambitious secondary school in Havering is seeking an experienced Religious Education Teacher with a focus on promoting inclusion and diverse theological perspectives from January 2026.
- RE Teacher required from January 2026
- Havering-based school with a clear community focus and strong academic track record in Humanities.
- Seeking a specialist to teach GCSE and A-Level Religious Studies , covering both ethics and theology.
You will teach Religious Education across KS3-KS5. The role requires the ability to deliver complex theological concepts clearly and foster critical, respectful philosophical debate in the classroom, ensuring the curriculum reflects the diversity of the local community.
Experience and Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) and a relevant degree in Theology, Philosophy, or RE.
- Demonstrable success in achieving high grades at GCSE and A-Level.
- Strong ability to engage students in complex abstract reasoning and critical thinking.
- Commitment to promoting SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social, and Cultural) development.
