Purview SME 8 Month contract initially Based: Remote - Max 2 days per month onsite in London Rate: £500 £540 p/d - (via Umbrella company) We have a great opportunity with a world leading organisation where you will be provided with all of the support and development to succeed. A progressive organisation where you can really make a difference. We have a great opportunity for a Purview SME to join the team. Your responsibilities: Purpose -To lead, guide and advise on data governance, compliance, and information protection implementation using Microsoft Purview, within the context of Microsoft Fabric and possibly beyond.

• Design & Implementation: in the context of Microsoft Fabric, lead on the discovery, definition and implementation of Purview functionality, including but not limited to Data Catalogue, Monitoring, Lineage and Data Loss Prevention capabilities.
• Data Governance & Compliance: Define data ownership models, classification schemes, and data lifecycle/records management policies.
• Consultative Advice: Act as the technical lead, advising stakeholders on best practices for data security and regulatory compliance.
• Operational Support: Maintain documentation (LLDs, SOPs), create user guides, and train teams on using the compliance portal.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Purview, M365 security technologies, and data governance frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with configuring and administering Microsoft Purview - either in Microsoft Fabric or Enterprise versions.
• Strong knowledge of data security concepts - classification, sensitivity labels, DLP, etc
• Microsoft certifications such as SC-400 (Information Protection Administrator) or SC-300 would be a bonus
• Experience in process design and service transition is desirable
• Quick learner to apply new concepts
• Ability to work in ambiguous situations
• Ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders
