KS2 Teacher Role in a Primary School

A welcoming primary school in Bexley is seeking to appoint a KS2 Teacher to join its team from September. This is a full-time role within a supportive and inclusive school that values high-quality teaching, pupil wellbeing, and strong academic progress.

About the Role

You will teach Key Stage 2 pupils, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across the primary curriculum to support strong academic and personal development.

The role includes planning and delivering lessons in English, Mathematics, Science, and foundation subjects while ensuring learning is differentiated to meet the needs of all pupils.

You will assess progress, maintain high expectations, and create a positive classroom environment that supports both attainment and wellbeing.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leaders to ensure pupils are supported to achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach a KS2 class and deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum

  • Plan and assess learning in line with national curriculum expectations

  • Differentiate lessons to support a range of abilities and needs

  • Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback

  • Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and engagement

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and wider school life

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers

Candidate Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 or primary education

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Good understanding of the primary curriculum

  • Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning

Desirable

  • Experience leading a curriculum subject area

  • Knowledge of SATs preparation and assessment

  • Ability to contribute to extracurricular or enrichment activities
